Wow! What a year! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I started my Master Key Journey. I have many many new friends, traveled to Kauai Hawaii for the first time and am incredibly excited to continue to grow as I am challenged on the Master Key Experience again. I have grown in so many ways and have begun to live again.

This week I started re-reading Og Mandino’s “Greatest Salesman In The World” again and now it means much more as I am not the same person as I was when I read it he first time.  Some of my favorite passages were;

Scroll One

“The career I have chosen is laden with opportunity yet it is fraught with heartbreak and despair and the bodies of those who have failed, were they piled one atop another, would cast its shadow down upon all the pyramids of the earth.

Yet I will NOT (emphasis mine) fail, as the others, for in my hands I hold the charts, which will guide me through perilous waters to shores, which only yesterday seemed but a dream”

This prepares me with the foreshadowing of a perilous journey so I know exactly what I am in for and that there will be uncertain difficulties. But I am not on this journey alone because I have the tools and understanding of the fortitude it will take to succeed in my craft.

” I will commence my journey unencumbered with either the weight of unnecessary knowledge or the handicap of meaningless experience”.

This one hits home as I was once the king of unnecessary knowledge (busy work) and had miles of meaningless experiences that I often spoke of without regard to its uselessness.

“Today my old skin has become as dust. I will walk tall among men and they will know me not, for today I am a new man with a new life.”

Forget the past and stop dragging it around. there is  no yesterday or tomorrow. Today is all I have and I am giving it all I’ve got.

Here are some memories of my journey to Kauai I took last June.

First look at paradise!

A visitor for breakfast.

A look at the Grand Canyon of Hawaii.

A beautiful sunset at the beach at the most western point in the US.

Another visitor this time at the beach.

The Na Poli coast is absolutely beautiful and full of history.

New friends and silly hats.

  1. It is amazing how when we go through the course a second, third, fourth or fifth time, we still find nuggets that we never saw before , even though we are reading the same exact words. So glad you are here again and ready to dig deeper and chip off more of the cement.

  2. Enjoyed your photos of Kauai, brings back memories of my own. Congratulations on the growth of your business, your fortitude in daily calls. I”m amazed and am using you as a role model of persistence. Very much looking forward to the MKE journey.

  3. Great start to work on this once again. I am happy I am not alone in this journey. My envy is kicking in as Hawaii is a place I will visit by 2020. Thanks Michael, I look forward to following your journey and Masterminding with you.
