As I sat down to write today I started with the title and stopped after “Week 3 -” What was this week about for me? I drew a blank and from somewhere the song “Wondering Where the Loins Are” came in to my head. It’s one of my favorites from the past. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6Lpx6JIMmk
Why that song I wondered. I listened to the song and perhaps some of the early lyrics seemed to talk about my first two weeks in the Master Key System training.
“Had another dream about the lions at the door but there weren’t half as frightened as they were before”
The first two weeks were hectic and I felt like I was constantly playing catch up. When do I do this? When do I need to do that? Is this the right chapter to read? How many times a day? How can I get this all done on time and not just submit it but put god time and effort into it? It was the Lions at the door and I didn’t know if they were friendly, hungry, lost or just bored and looking for someone to play with. They all were nervous. I had to deal with theses lions because I invited them into my life. These were their complaints
One lion growled
“Read it 3 times a day and the last one you must read it out loud”
Another snarled
“Tell me your purpose in life”
Yet another chimed in
“Did you get your blog done?”
And the biggest one in a loud familiar voice
“Who do you think you are asking for all of this work?”
The last one I recognized. It was my own voice (subconscious) and it bellowed the loudest. It was wondering why would I add more to an already overflowing plate of things to do in my life and how could I get all of this done and was it going to be worth it. Week three made those lions seem less frightened as they were before because I was able to fit in and accomplish the tasks for weeks one and two. A routine started to form and I began looking forward to the tasks. I woke up earlier each day which is a major change for me, began my morning reading immediately and I started doing basic exercises before I did anything else. Most days I didn’t turn on the TV, look at my phone, check email until after breakfast. This continues to today. I look forward to getting up and getting these simple things done first thing. It only takes 30 minute and I feel great for doing it. My evening routine is coming together too. I’m not wasting tine surfing the internet, Facebooking or watching TV except for the few seconds they actually talk about the weather forecast.
After my evening reading I fall asleep in minutes and wake up more refreshed than usual. It is a great feeling. My whole day seemed more calm and I was more at ease with myself.
So what song tells what I’m feeling going into week four? It’s the opening song to the soundtrack of an Elvis Presley movie. You have to turn up the volume a bit. It starts slow, it’s got a great beat but I just love the way they enjoy singing about crawfish. They are singing about crawfish – who would sing about crawfish? They don’t care they just love to sing -it’s what they love and it shows.

Week three is almost done and I’m loving this journey. The lions at the door are part of my pack now. I am the pack leader. They do what I say. I feel tremendous and look forward to each day and each new set of opportunities to learn how to live and enjoy my life as effortlessly as Elvis Presley and Kitty White sing about crawfish.

Love your analogy with the lions! And that you included music! Thanks for sharing!! That “Crawfish” song is just decadent!
Wow! Thanks for commenting. Decadent is the best way to describe that song.
